Workers Compensation Helpline Delaware, For The Injured Worker Lawyers

Kent County, New Castle County, Sussex County

In accordance with 19 Del. C. §2322, and effective 5/23/08, the Governor appointed Health Care Advisory Panel (HCAP) established a Workers' Compensation Health Care Payment System (HCPS) for Delaware.

In the state of Delaware, all employers with at least one employee are required to carry workers' compensation insurance. The insurance provides coverage for Delaware workers who suffer a workplace injury or work-related disease. Both full-time and part-time Delaware employees are eligible to receive benefits.

While Delaware employees are not required to show that their employer was negligent, they must be able to show that their injury was work-related and they must be able to establish the extent of their injury. As with any type of insurance benefit, there is often a great deal of red tape as the insurance company fights to save as much money as possible by denying claims or minimizing the amount they pay on claims.
